Just a (paraphrased) snippet of what a fun-filled conversation with Your Lovable, Charming blogger is like:

A Loyal Reader: How is my favorite Charming tonight?

Charming: Crap! Hold on!

A Loyal Reader: I really hope you didn’t spill a hot drink on yourself …

[Five minutes pass]

Charming:
Sorry, no, I didn’t. When you asked how I was doing tonight, my first thought was to respond, “I’d be better if I had a glass of wine.” And then I realized that I had to run because I’d put a bottle of wine in the freezer to quick chill … THREE HOURS AGO.

ZOMG! It’s like you’re human after all! >.

2. wailin - April 18, 2007

And I forget it doesn’t like some signs. What else I said was I couldn’t imagine some random reader IMing me anymore than I could imagine IMing you. Disregarding the fact that I’m usually completely, utterly, and hopelessly boring.

Nothing like a nice white-wine slushy. I’m surprised 7-11 never picked up on that one.

4. Dan - April 19, 2007

Somebody needs to be more prepared. But anyway, who drinks white wine? You’d better not be chilling your reds!

5. Not So Little Woman - April 19, 2007

Hehehe… That’s happened to me before, but with beer.

6. kittenpower - April 19, 2007

that would have been beyond awful if it had exploded!

Dan — What do you mean, “Who drinks white wine?” Who DOESN’T drink white wine? I’m not talking about boring Chardonnay, I’m talking about a nice light, crisp fresh white wine — a Pinot Grigio or a Riesling. I for one crave a light, crisp white wine during the Spring and Summer. Reds are too heavy for me this time of year.

And no, dear, I’d never chill a red.

8. Lou P. - April 19, 2007

So what happened to the wine — did it freeze, or was it just refreshingly chilled?

9. mpa - April 19, 2007

The good news is this means you’re not an alcoholic…

10. Desiree - April 19, 2007

I’ve frozen a bottle… they crack and make a mess. Ugh.

11. Bittersweet Confusion - April 19, 2007

This is the sole reason why I love Red… Immediate gratification … no chilling required.

12. that girl - April 19, 2007

I drink white wine too!!! and that has sooo happened to me before. :-)

13. mags - April 19, 2007

I’m a seasonal drinker too. Reds are just too heavy when it’s hot. Have you tried a good, but cheap Franch or Spanish Rose’? Perfect summer wine. Dry, crisp & yummy!

And, yes, I have frozen many a bottle. Doh!

14. Maverick - April 19, 2007

It amazes me how popular and completely charming you have become…you can write three words: Frozen White Wine…and you get all these people commenting on it…geez girl, if I were marketing any product- be it wine, clothing, makeup, gatorade, Nike…whatever I’d sign you to a multimillion dollar endorsement deal…:)
You’ve got your finger on the pulse of Blogger Nation, or whatever…That “it” factor people talk about, That’s you and your writing. Always reading.

15. Bernadette - April 20, 2007

Bwahahahaha. That’s so awesome. At least you didn’t open your freezer days (weeks?) later to discover the bottle still in there. Not that I’ve, you know, done that or anything…

16. charming, but single - April 20, 2007

Oh, and FYI, the wine did not freeze. It was merely VERY chilled.

And, second FYI, Maverick, you’re a doll. I should put you on my payroll. ;)

17. joebec - April 20, 2007

aww man, i hope the bottle didn’t bust on ya!

18. Carmen - April 21, 2007

hehehehehehe - I used to do that all the time when I was drinking. I used to put beer in the freezer so that it would be really cold and then it would explode because I’d forget about it.

19. Jasmine - April 22, 2007

Hi i am new and enjoyed reading your posts. Golly Gosh nearly a disaster with the wine.
