Dear Readers –
Please forgive me for not having a new post for you on this Monday. I have major writer’s block and my life is boring and I haven’t kissed a man in months. Sad, but true.
Please vote in the comments about what you would like me to write for Tuesday. Your options are:
- A story about me being a Party Girl in college
- Me rambling about songs like that I like and how they remind me of people
- Various lists of things related to dating or men. (I.e. “Five things not to do on a date.”) Please specify list topic in your comment.
- Other. Please specify.
Cheers –
Charming
I vote for option 3, focused on dating.

My vote is for #1 but really I love everything you write about!
Umm all of the above? I’m sure you can make them all sound interesting. Or you can endure questions for the employment applications I keep inventing for our job applicants. One of the questions always is ‘What is the Character of Physical Law?’ Yeah, no one likes it. Few pass anyway. All we need are people who can write a figure. Impossible, right? Cheers, ‘VJ’
If you’re into lists, what about a list of the things that make you most happy? You can relate it to dating, party times, songs, people in your life, or whatever you feel like.
My vote is for 1 or 3
I vote for number 3 or 4…
And when I say #4, I have nothing interesting to suggest… but it seemed a good idea…
I vote for #1
I love your writing and I love lists, so I’m voting for number 3.Off the top of my head, how about a list of silly quirk for every man you’ve dated?
I vote for number 3 because I have a lot of first dates, but not a lot of second dates and I am a terrible dater. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
I vote for #3!
I vote for #3 and I like “Hope’s” suggestion of quirks the guys that you’ve dated had. This is always interesting to me. Every man has one and I think you can tell a lot about a person by their little quirks!
Go for three. The dating stories and related items are always most entertaining.
Here’s an interesting topic that has caused some tension between my boyfriend and I lately- can a person hold their significant other accountable for hook-ups, past relationships, etc. that happened before they started dating? People seem to have a wide variety of opinions on this and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it, Charming!

How about the five best songs to listen to when dating a party girl? One stone kills all the birds.
#3, but only if you elaborate on each point how they relate to you
I vote for the list of quirks for the people you’ve dated!
My vote is a list of 5 things not to do on a date…
Voting for number three. I love your insight into dating…
Voting for 3, on dating.
party girl story please. the sluttier the better. perhaps something about salad tossing?
I vote for #1 because I can always relate and feel relieved I’m not the only one that had stories like that in college!
I vote #3- how to read/write an online dating profile e.g. what does “a few extra pounds/ curvy” mean and “if he says he’s doing 300+ things, is he lying or does he have time for a relationship?”
I love your Party girl days… My vote’s for #1
All 3, but take your time! We’ll wait!
#1- it’s always nice to rehash the good ‘ol days
I’m going with 3. Maybe stupid things boys have done while on a date with you? Or bad pickup lines you’ve been told.
Curvy = PA-POW!
A few extra pounds = …kerplunk…
>.<
i like # 2
I vote for #1 or #3.
My vote is for #1 or 3.
I vote for # 3!
I’d love to hear more memories that different songs bring up for you. Those entries are some of my favorites.
I vote for #4… and suggest a story about your day job… or is that too boring? If so, a story from your party years could be entertaining!
i think you should write about all of it!! i am new reading your blog & love it
No. 3, but I would make it as an advice to men of “5 Things to NOT do if you want your date to want to see you again after the first date”
Party Girl!
When I was in college I was in awe of the party girls in college. Therefore, my vote is for a story about when you were a party girl in college. K? Woohoo!

4. - What’s the craziest daredevil/wild woman feat/fiasco you’ve pulled off?
Five quirks my dates have had . . . and the quirks I *wish* they had instead.
one!!
[...] Listing is fun and easy, Single Girl Cliches, Dating, Men. trackback I don’t know if this is the exact way the vote worked out, but it seemed like a lot of people wanted a dating list. So I present, in no particular order, the five things I’d like to find out about you on our [...]
I was just thinking, your blog should be ‘charming AND single’ like ‘hey! i’m awesome, wanna get to know me?’ instead of ‘hey! i’m awesome…but no one wants me :-\’ it’s all about attitude and perception. random thought, sorry.
I think you should write about online dating. How to cut the line when you’re not feeling the person, should you ditch a person based on the first call if you’re not feeling them or should you at least meet them first before you decide that, etc. (i’m new to online dating)
just an idea
Um, too many comments to address. But I wrote a list … which I’ll follow up with another list and then a post about being a College Party Girl.
Cajun Boy — I am a LADY. Such things NEVER happen to LADIES. The only time I toss salad is when homemade vinaigrette is involved. ;P
Desiree — I don’t think my day job is boring, but I avoid blogging about work at all costs. I like being able to pay bills and buy groceries and getting fired would really cramp my style.
