Not dead or missing or married or pregnant.

Promise.

Will get back to being single-gal-about-town just as soon as I have a moment or two to spare.

Did some great shopping this weekend. J. Vincent black platforms with an ankle strap, regularly $160, I paid $40. Gianni Bini red kittenish-heel shoes, regularly $70, I paid $17. Faux-wrap black dress with a cute pattern, regularly $90, I paid $45.

I have high, high hopes for this dress, though. I don’t know why, but I feel insanely sexy in it and have tried it on twice since I brought it home, spinning around and debating if it showed too much cleavage. (And I was only tipsy one of those times!)

Saturday night over a glass of wine, Southern Belle and I discussed our shopping successes of the weekend, as one of the department stores here is having not only a great sale, but also a Clinique Bonus. (As a side note, apparently every blue-eyed girl in my town rushed out and bought up all of the BadGal Blue, which just broke my little blue-eyed girl heart.)

“So, we have to do a fun night out soon. We should go out downtown to [The Wine Bar]. It’s been awhile,” I said. “I bought a dress that I’m saving for a night like that and it is either really cute or really slutty.”

“Well,” Southern Belle said, with a sly grin on her face. “Either way works.”

“I mean, it is no sluttier than anything else I own, I guess,” I said.

“Well then! It’s perfect.”

Missed you- good to know you’re back! And oh wow, those are AMAZING deals- I love getting deals like this when I go shopping, so I bet it put a grin on your face for a long time. . .

Dress sounds hugely promising. . .

Good to hear C, hopefully work is going fine too & keeping you more than busy. Me, I dropped about 5-600 on art this weekend. (Many for gifts). The amusing thing is that by now most of the artists in town know me, so I get good discounts for ‘volume’. The sad thing is realizing those that don’t know me, don’t fall for this ploy, and I buy less from them upon just meeting them for the first time. It cost the last fellow I met at an arts festival today close to a C note too. Good stuff & I appreciate it, but if you can’t even do a cash discount for someone walking away with potentially one of your biggest sales of the day, well then maybe next year, right? But I was surprised, you can usually find something to come away with that’s interesting. Even amongst all the schlock. But there’s plenty of that around too. Cheers & Good Luck, ‘VJ’

Hey there!

You might not remember me but your blog was one of the first dating blogs I stopped by when I started blogging. Well, I have finished my blog so I just wanted to say hi and thank you for being an inspiration. Much of the traffic I got came from your blogroll! THANK YOU. In anycase, I wish you the best of luck in the future! You are a blogger rolemodel.

GOOD LUCK!

Im glad others are enjoying end of season sales. I just hit up macy’s myself. I got to bath myself in ralph lauren :) Oh and on the upside I was told by several men that a woman in any dress is much more attractive than a woman in pants. I guess old traditions die hard. But of course in a dress you get to twirl so I dont mind the stereotype.

15. CoatMan - September 19, 2007
