So the “Sex and the City” movie trailer just came out.
Jezebel has a frame-by-frame breakdown.
Thoughts? Kind of over the top, in a way that you can see more clearly after a few years away from the show? (Look, I’ll be honest. My roomie and I in college used to rent all of a season and sit there with Chinese takeout and wine and watch the whole thing years ago and it seemed far less annoying than it does now. Perhaps it was the wine.)
I’ll go see the movie anyway, I’m sure.
Well, I’m seeing it for sure too!
I know what you mean…but yes, I will also be seeing it.
During a phone convo w/ my friend yesterday, we were talking about an aspect relationship writing and all of the sudden she yelled really excitedly, “Well, Carrie Bradshaw did it!!” Then it got really quiet and she said, “I mean, not that she’s real or anything.” haha she is to us.
So… it’s a show about three hookers and their mom?
I didn’t click on the video (in class), but your post made me laugh because I blogged about this the other day (not the movie, but the women + chinese food + SitC phenomenon).

Well, I’m a big SATC fan, and I’m sure I’ll go see the movie just for the sake of seeing it. But to be honest, I think I’ll enjoy it, over-the-top and all. : )
As a single woman in NY, I can’t help but love it!
Yeah, it looks corny, but I was a big fan, so I might see it, too (or wait until it comes out on DVD).
Yes - I will definitely go see the movie too!!!!! I still DVR the old episodes and watch them all the time
I’m sure I’ll end up watching it, but I still think they should have left well enough alone. (Then again, this is Hollywood. They never leave money on the table.)
LOVE the lazy Friday post.
I can’t wait!! I’m soooooooooooooo excited!
Three hookers and their mom!
Delurking, Charming, to say hello and that I will definitely be seeing the movie, though I admit to a love/hate relationship with Carrie through the years. She became very grating and over-the-top in the sixth season, no? And the puns… I could not stomach the constant puns. (I also should admit that a friend and I actually went on the SATC bus tour in New York last year… we stopped at Steve’s bar, the Magnolia Bakery, to name a few. And I did this when I was still living there! So, so shameful.)
